- If you don’t care about trip flexibility and just want to fly to Punta Cana, stay in one resort for your whole stay, and fly back home after, consider booking a package (flight and accommodation included) as it will usually be cheaper than booking the flights and accommodation separately, saving you money! Expedia, Booking.com, or Trip.com usually have some good deals on packages!
- Try to look for early booking deals when planning your trip to Punta Cana. Additionally, we reccomend looking for free cancellation options as well to give you more flexibility. We have made the mistake of booking a no-cancellation and later regretted it when we wanted to change our mind on a resort.

- Cabana reservations, spa treatments, certain activities, upscale dining, and luxury spirits/wine are typically the only expenses you have to take into account for in an all-inclusive resort during your vacation. Everything else is complementary! Gratuities are technically included as well, but feel free to tip when you feel like it is right to do so. Not only is it a nice gesture, but you will most likely get even better service than if you were not to tip.
- For transportation, there is Uber available for rideshare options. However, it is worth noting that they may not be able to pick you up at the airport and some resort lobbies due to local regulations and unions. For this reason, we do reccomend booking private transportation in advance!
- For the best weather, look to book your stay in Punta Cana during the December to April window! If you want fewer crowds and better deals, you can also book in the window of May to November but may experience some rainfall during your vacation. Personally, we traveled here in late September (when rainfall is at its peak), and we actually had perfect sunny weather for the whole duration of our trip! However, your miles may vary, and you may not be as lucky as we were.
